About BB

About Me… Well they tell me I am a middle-aged women; that is what they Tell me. I don’t like age, it’s a number that reflects how long we have been walking this earth. I’ve been here for 40 plus years and I don’t plan on being here a whole lot longer, so that would make me a senior rather than middle age. But I live like a teenager or young adult, middle age my ass.

I believe a woman can, and should have it all. I believe we are limited only by our own mind and our own thoughts. I am guilty of limiting myself by my own fear, which is our greatest enemy.

I come here for the very same reasons everyone else does. To clear my head, to escape, and to find kinship with others who have the same interests, desires and inspirations as myself.

I suffer from migraines, however I will not blog while medicated or sedated. It would be the equivalent of receiving drunk texts from your exes, and nobody wants that.

  1. Hi! Thank you for the follow. Please be aware that my blog is a bilingual one. So you may get links to some poems in English as well as to some in Italian…
I’m trying to keep the posting balanced between the two languages. Hope this doesn’t increment migraines, now that I’ve explained πŸ˜‰

  2. πŸ™‚ yours is an interesting place of thought and intellectual exercise.. love your way of putting things in full honesty πŸ™‚ glad to be here! πŸ™‚

  3. this put a smile on my face. what’s age anyways? It’s only a number that the younger kinds worry about.
It’s good to meet you πŸ™‚

  4. Hello there! I love the picture and the message “I’d like to apologize to anyone I haven’t offended yet…” Well that’s my Mission too! To upset and offend as many people I can with my honesty. It’s what my mom raised me to be; an “a-hole” Hahahahaha! I love your poetry btw!

  5. They say beauty fades
    and with age comes wisdom
so I say when I die
I’d rather have a wise mind
    than a tight behind
    after all I’m merely renting
    this body isn’t really mine!

  6. Thank you for dropping in. i also love how you’ve described the lifestyle you live. Nonetheless i hope that any drugged induced writing of mine doesn’t not offend you?

    Cheers toad

  7. I have a friend in Canada whose mother suffered from migraines on a regular basis for ~30 years. They somehow discovered that it was the altitude causing them. For some reason, her head would never adjust, thus the pressure.
Anyway, sorry that you have to endure them. I’ve only had one in my life, and that was one too many.

  8. Drunk texts from your exes…. What a lovely image! Indeed, nobody wants that, unless your drunk, too… Then all bets are off, right?

  9. hi dear…i like your work and i love your about! i can relate to what you are saying. “i am guilty of limiting myself by my own fear, which is my greatest enemy” indeed, indeed! but now we find writing…our mind has no limitations, it can take us anywhere and let us do things we never could imagine we can do. Kudos to you! πŸ™‚ *hugs

  10. It is so refreshing to read an honest opinion. A true art form is always open to interpretation, you are a true art form…and what I see is beautiful, I look forward to seeing much more. I know life isn’t always pretty, but something good can be learned even from the worst experiences. Thanks again for being open. Lots of love to you and yours…. and all your endeavors! πŸ™‚

    • Hey Jacob, thanks for the follow. Tell me, because I see you are currently residing in Madison WI, what do you like or dislike about that college town. I’m curious. Give me a good answer and I’ll head over to your page and “have fun with you.”

      • I love the fact that, unlike Houston, I can walk most places (down to one tank of gas a month!) however, I’ve never been this cold in my life – it’s been awful, and from what I’ve heard, the worst in years.

  11. I had wrote you something about being sedated while posting, however because of my bad choice of internet connection by using the fire-house library connection i was cut of while writing you a long wordy message… i am an addict and will continue to use throughout the rest of my life, therefore will most likely post while under the influence of dope. i was once told by a very very old soul “just be you” in other words “just be me!” he was here long before christ or any other of those lost souls…

i will read you however you wish to be read sedated or clean…

You have no idea how much I relate with these two sentences. I now I am not alone but it’s nice to see it written.

    Nice to “meet” you.

I am also “A middle aged woman” (whatever, eyeroll), a fellow migraneur…though I need to heed your words about not posting while medicated and sedated, which unfortunately, is often πŸ˜• sometimes I wake out of a migraine slumber to a WTF was I thinking kinda day.. Anywhoo, love your blog, dear.
